State Senator Michael Rodrigues Endorses Becky Grossman for Congress
NEWTON – State Senator Michael Rodrigues endorsed Democrat Becky Grossman in her bid for Massachusetts’s 4th Congressional District. Senator Rodrigues serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means. On Beacon Hill, Rodrigues represents Fall River and communities in the South Coast region.
“Becky Grossman is a strong progressive who will go to bat for Fall River and the entire South Coast,” said Rodrigues. “Becky understands that renewable energy projects like Brayton Point will be transformative for our economy and help us become a national leader in clean energy. Becky knows that tackling climate change goes hand in hand with creating new good-paying jobs right here in Fall River which is why I’m dedicated to helping her win this race.”

About Becky:
During Grossman’s time as a Newton City Councilor, she has focused on improving school building facilities, addressing the city’s infrastructure and transportation challenges, and supporting local efforts to combat the climate crisis. Grossman was first elected to the at-large seat in 2017.
Prior to being elected to the Newton City Council, Grossman served as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County under DA Marian Ryan. Grossman received her undergraduate degree in economics at Cornell University and received her J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
Grossman currently resides in Newton with her husband Ben, their 5-year-old son Jack, and 8-year-old daughter Madeleine.
